Morris man pleads guilty to Shorewood revenge porn charge

Man also pleaded guilty to ketamine possession

A Morris man pleaded guilty to sharing sexual images of a person on social media and possessing $2,000 worth of ketamine.

On Thursday, Dakota Lenzie, 29, of the 500 block of West Southmor Road, pleaded guilty to felony nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images and possession of a controlled substance, according to court records.

Will County Judge Dan Rippy sentenced Lenzie to a year in prison for both offenses and credited him with six days already served in the county jail.

Lenzie was remanded to the jail and has not yet been taken to the Illinois Department of Corrections as of Monday afternoon, jail records show.

Prosecutors said in a court filing that Lenzie “shared sexual images of victim on social media” on May 7, 2020. The case was investigated by the Shorewood Police Department.

A person contacted the Shorewood police after claiming Lenzie posted a “naked photo” of them on Snapchat, according to police reports obtained by The Herald-News.

Prosecutors also said that Lenzie possessed more than 27 grams of a hallucinogenic substance called ketamine on April 30, 2019. The amount of ketamine Lenzie had on him carried a street value of $2,000, court records show.

The drug case was investigated by the Tinley Park Police Department.

On June 21, 2017, prosecutors agreed to drop several drug charges against Lenzie in exchange for his plea of guilty to driving under the influence in another case, court records show.

He was sentenced to a year of court supervision but a judge revoked it on June 20, 2018, court records show.
