A man was arrested after he made lewd comments to women at a Joliet CVS store, urinated in the parking lot and attempted to strike one of the officers at the scene, police said.
About 7:34 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the CVS at 809 Plainfield Road in response to a disturbance, Joliet police said.
Officers arrived and determined that a man identified as Ryan Johnson, 36, of the 300 block of Ruby Street in Joliet was making lewd comments to women inside and outside of the store, police said, and also urinated in the parking lot.
Johnson refused to leave when told by store employees, police said.
Officers met with Johnson and he refused to follow commands to stop walking away, police said.
“Officers attempted to place Johnson into custody at which time Johnson attempted to pull away from the officers,” police said. “Johnson then acted as if he was going to strike an officer on scene.”
Johnson was arrested on probable cause of aggravated assault, resisting a police officer and criminal trespass to property.
He was taken to the Will County jail after his arrest. His bond was set at $20,000.
