Thieves stole about $19,800 worth of cigarettes from Homer Glen store: cops

Cash was also stolen from the store, Will County Sheriff’s Office said

More than $19,800 worth of Marlboro and Newport cigarettes were stolen from Cigarettes & Cigars in Homer Glen, police said.

On Dec. 23, one or more suspects broke a window out of Cigarettes & Cigars, 14321 S. Golden Oak Drive, during the overnight hours, entered the store and stole 233 cartons of Marlboro and Newport cigarettes, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Office.

The stolen cigarettes are valued at $19,805, police said. Cash was also stolen from the cash register.

Will County sheriff spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said no one has been arrested over the incident and nothing has been recovered.
