Gun attack on Garnsey Avenue leaves 1 wounded

A Sunday night gun attack on Garnsey Avenue left one man wounded, police said.

The 34-year-old man was found outside a residence on Garnsey between Ward and Elwood avenues about 8:45 p.m., police said.

Fire department paramedics took the man to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox where he was stable Monday morning, police said.

The shooting remains under investigation, police said, and anyone with information was urged to call the department’s investigation unit at 815-724-3020.
