The Reed-Custer girls basketball team brought lockdown defense with them to Streator in a 35-10 Illinois Central Eight Conference win over the Bulldogs on Thursday.
Brooklyn Harding led the way with 11 points, six steals, five rebounds and four assists for the Comets (8-12).
Gardner-South Wilmington 41, Momence 24: At Gardner, the Panthers (2-17) rallied behind a 12 point game from Addi Fair to secure a win.
Peotone 52, Wilmington 26: At Wilmington, the Blue Devils doubled up the Wildcats in a IC-8 conference win.
Madi Schroeder led Peotone (13-7, 7-0 IC8) with 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Jenna Hunter added 13 points and seven boards.
Lincoln-Way Central 59, Andrew 28: At New Lenox, the Knights trampled Andrew at home in a one-sided victory.
Azyah Newson-Cole led the way for Central (12-4, 1-0 SWSC) with 11 points and five rebounds, and Lina Panos had 10 points.
Henry 27, Dwight 25: At Dwight, the Trojans lost in overtime.
Kassy Kodat scored 12 points to lead Dwight and Brooke Vigna added nine points and 10 rebounds.
Stagg 59, Lincoln-Way West 50: At Palos Hills, the Warriors fell to 6-8 overall and 0-1 in SWSC play with a road loss.
Ava Gugliuzza scored 32 points in the loss.
WRESTLING
TF South quadrangular: At Lansing, Lemont picked up two commanding victories over Bremen (72-0) and Shepard (63-12).
Ethan Schiffman, Cole Brannigan, Tyler Wilms, Alex Pasquale, Julian Villianatos and Sam Schuit earned wins in the shutout of Bremen. Mike Jabaay, Mohammad Khalil, Wilms, and Pasquale were winners against Shepard.
Lincoln-Way East 54, Bolingbrook 15: At Bolingbrook, the Griffins improved to 15-0 on the season with a comfortable win over the Raiders.
Lincoln-Way West 33, Lincoln-Way Central 30: At New Lenox, the Warriors defended their home mat from the visiting Knights in a close one.
BOYS SWIMMING
Lincoln-Way West 119, Lincoln-Way Central 61: At New Lenox, the Warriors picked up a rivalry win over the Warriors.
Tristan Minarik, Jacob Conoboy and Ben Applegate earned two wins apiece for West to lead the way. Minarik took the top spot in the 100 freestyle (52.60 seconds) and 100 backstroke (1:00.00), Conoboy was first in the 200 freestyle (2:02.42) and 500 freestyle (5:44.98), and Applegate won the 100 breaststroke (1:14.45) and 200 individual medley.
