After trailing by as much as nine points in the third quarter, Oswego East put together a strong comeback effort to take down Minooka, 69-59, on Friday in Oswego.
Mekhi Lowery led all scorers with 26 points in the win, and Patrick Robinson added 21. Trevor Hudak and Preston Van Pelt scored 13 points apiece for Minooka.
Lincoln-Way Central 55, Lincoln-Way East 53 (OT): At New Lenox, the Knights narrowly edged the Griffins in overtime.
Jack Barrett, Frank DeCarlo and Jack Vetger scored 14 points apiece in the victory and Jack Novak added 11.
Benet 72, Joliet Catholic 37: At Lisle, the Hilltoppers los their ESCC opener on the road.
Anthony Birsa scored 10 points and Alex Brown added nine in the loss.
Oswego 69, Plainfield North 66 (OT): At Oswego, accuracy from the free throw line down the stretch led the Panthers to an overtime win.
Mason Delaney led North with 24 points in the loss, and Jeffrey Fleming scored 17.
Lemont 75, Argo 48: At Lemont, the home team took down Argo thanks to another strong performance from Nojus Indrusaitis.
Indrusaitis scored 32 in the victory and Gavin Kelby added 14 points.
Putnam County 47, Dwight 43: At Granville, the Trojans lost their conference opener on the road.
Wyatt Thompson scored 15 points and Kaleb Duden scored 10 in the loss.
Illinois Lutheran 55, Gardner-South Wilmington 52: At Crete, the Panthers came up just short on the road and fell to 1-5 overall.
Loyola 38, Providence 31: At Wilmette, the Celtics took a road loss in a low-scoring affair.

Lincoln-Way Central 34, Sandburg 33: At New Lenox, the Knights picked up a razor-thin victory at home over Sandburg.
Joey Malito, Conor Smetana, Tim Key and Lance Valentine each had wins by pin for L-WC.
BOYS SWIMMING
Warrior Pentathlon: At New Lenox, Lemont took second place, Lincoln-Way West came fourth and Lincoln-Way Central finished fifth at the Warrior Pentathlon.
Lemont scored 560.5 points as a team to take second behind U-High, which scored 612.5. Reavis was third with 516 points, West had 329 and Central rounded out the scoreboard with 307.
