Lisa Thompson came through for Joliet West in a big way Saturday, scoring 26 points in the Tigers’ 62-47 Lincoln-Way Tournament championship win over Lincoln-Way West in New Lenox.
Grace Walsh scored 13 points in the win, while Destiny McNair and Caiside Snapp added 10 apiece. Thompson was named tournament MVP after the win.
Ava Gugliuzza scored 23 points for the Warriors. Allie Wondrasek added 12.
Lincoln-Way Central 61, Moline 47: At New Lenox, Keira King knocked down seven 3-pointers to lead the way in a Lincoln-Way Tournament victory.
King finished with a game-high 23 points, Lina Panos had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Azyah Newson-Cole added 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
Minooka 57, Joliet Central 38: At New Lenox, Minooka finished the Lincoln-Way Tournament on a high note with its first win of the season over the Steelmen.
Kennedi Brass scored 12 points and Makenzie Brass scored 11 as Minooka improved to 1-2 overall.
Coal City 44, Reed-Custer 37: At Braidwood, the Coalers won the Reed-Custer Thanksgiving Tournament championship with a victory over the host Comets.
Molly Stiles led the way to the title with 18 points. Sylvia Crater led Reed-Custer with nine points.
Yorkville Christian 68, Gardner-South Wilmington 30: At Braidwood, the Panthers were no match for Yorkville Christian in a blowout loss at the Reed-Custer Thanksgiving Tournament.
