Dixon High School combined choirs have fall concert

Four vocal groups performed Thursday evening at Wiltz Auditorium as part of the Dixon High School Fall Choir Concert under the direction of Erin Rogers and accompanied on concert piano by Denise Ewers.

The Honors Choir opened with “Be Like The Bird.”

The Concert Choir performed three pieces including a New Zealand sea shanty called “The Wellerman.”

The Honors Choir returned to the stage to sing “Come In From the Firefly Darkness” and “Bottom of the River,” the latter an arrangement by Rogers.

The Acapella group sang “One Voice” from Ruth Moody of the Wailin’ Jennys.

The Madrigals closed the concert with two pieces: “Cantate Domino” and “A Festive Madrigal.”
