ROCK FALLS – A 14-year-old Rock Falls girl suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries Saturday in a collision at state Route 172/Star Road and Hickory Hills Road, between Rock Falls and Deer Grove south of town.

Four others suffered minor injuries, State Police said in a news release this afternoon.

According to the release, Brandi J. Doty, 40, of Rock Falls, and the girl were in a pickup traveling north on Hickory Hills around 3:55 p.m. when Doty failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a westbound SUV carrying three adults and a toddler, all from Wisconsin.
