Family: Missing Mt. Morris girl found in Rockford

Mt. Morris 15-year-old Katelyn Kirby, missing since Dec. 29, was found in Rockford and is being brought home this morning, her family said in a text to SVM. (Submitted)

MT. MORRIS – Mt. Morris 15-year-old Katelyn Kirby, missing since Dec. 29, was found in Rockford, her family said in a text to Sauk Valley Media this morning.

She was returned to the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services, Mt. Morris Police Chief Jason White confirmed.
