The Newman Comets volleyball team bounced back from a first-set loss to outlast Rockridge 20-25, 25-18, 26-24 in a Three Rivers crossover match Friday in Sterling.
Ally Clevenger led Newman with 16 kills and 13 digs, while Kennedy Rowzee and Jess Johns spiked nine kills each, with Rowzee stuffing three blocks. Shae McNeill had 15 assists and eight digs, Katie Grennan added 10 assists and 10 digs, and Paige Grennan had six assists and six digs. Jordan Morthland chipped in 10 digs and an ace, with both Paige and Katie Grennan also serving aces.
