Vaccine update: Sauk Valley administers 179 doses Friday

The Sauk Valley administered an additional 179 coronavirus vaccine doses Friday, and 90 more people became fully vaccinated.

Whiteside County has administered 46,046 total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 23,440 people (42.14%) fully vaccinated. Lee County has had 30,947 doses, with 15,771 people (46.08%) fully vaccinated. Carroll County has administered 9,807 vaccine doses, with 5,200 people (36.33%) fully vaccinated. Ogle County has had 43,320 doses, with 21,687 people (42.59%) fully vaccinated.

There have been 130,120 doses administered and 66,098 people fully vaccinated across Whiteside, Lee, Carroll and Ogle counties.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 21,607 shots, and a total of 12,917,362 COVID-19 vaccines administered.

There are 6,341,844 fully vaccinated people across the state, or 49.77% of the population.
