Vaccine update: Sauk Valley administers 318 doses Wednesday

The Sauk Valley administered an additional 318 coronavirus vaccine doses Wednesday, and 196 more people became fully vaccinated.

Whiteside County has administered 42,717 total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 21,230 people (38.17%) fully vaccinated. Lee County has had 28,947 doses, with 14,476 people (42.3%) fully vaccinated. Carroll County has administered 9,385 vaccine doses, with 4,916 people (34.35%) fully vaccinated. Ogle County has had 39,989 doses, with 19,631 people (38.55%) fully vaccinated.

As of Wednesday, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported a total of 13,920,545 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been distributed statewide, with 11,759,105 vaccines administered.

For Tuesday, the state administered 50,231 shots, and 5,639,749 of the population have been fully vaccinated, or 44.26%. Illinois has a population of 12,741,080 people.
