State Rep. McCombie to hold pet rescue fair at Happy Tails

McCombie to host Pet Rescue Fair with Happy Tails Humane Society

ROCK FALLS – State Rep. Tony McCombie of the 71st District will hold a pet rescue fair with Happy Tails Humane Society from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 11.

The event will be at the Happy Tails facility at 1408 McNeil Road in Rock Falls.

The event will allow area residents to meet adoptable pets, learn about state programs, and even take advantage of reduced adoption fees. Donations of pet food and supplies will be accepted.

“We have always been a pet family and share our home today with Miss Molly,” said McCombie. “Shelters and humane societies are overflowing and we hope that this will help begin the process of placing available rescue pets with loving owners before the end of the year.”

Happy Tails is a limited-intake, no-kill facility that shelters and cares for stray and abandoned dogs and cats until they are adopted into permanent homes. It promotes pet adoption and humane education. Happy Tails is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
