STERLING – The Hennepin Hundred, the state’s only point-to-point, all-trail ultramarathon will start 7 a.m. Oct. 2 along the Hennepin Canal.
There is a hundred-mile race to Colona. There are also stints for 50 miles, 50 kilometers and a 100-mile relay.
The 100-mile solo and relay race has a 7 a.m. start along the Rock River in Sinissippi Park in Sterling. The night time 50K race has a 5 p.m. start time from aid station 7 and 15 near the Lock 22 campground.
The 100-mile and 50k racers finish in Colona in front of the Colona Fire Department, which provides a shower, cot and a place to change clothes. The 50-mile racers finish at Lock 17 near Wyanet.
The configuration of relay teams can be all male, all female, co-ed or a masters team with all runners older than 40.
