MT. CARROLL — The Carroll County 4-H has two activities on its upcoming calendar for youth ages 8 to 13.
The first is a series of workshops that will be held at York Township Public Library in Thomson.
The second is a youth cooking club that will be held at the University of Illinois Extension Office in Mt. Carroll.
Thomson: All the hour-long special interest workshops at the library will start at 5 p.m. To register, call 815-259-2480. Each workshop requires a supply fee. Making Mandalas will be Oct. 5. Kids Cooking Class will be Oct. 19. STEM: Popsicle Stick Flashlight will be Nov. 2.
Mt. Carroll: Preparing kid-friendly recipes is part of the instruction, as well as, using knives, measuring ingredients and other basic kitchen skills. Sessions are 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays from Oct. 14 to Nov. 18. There is a $30 supply fee. Online registrations should be completed by Oct. 11 at go.illinois.edu/CarrollTasteOf4H
