DIXON – Dixon Stage Left will open its 2021-22 season Friday with the classic comedy “The Importance of being Earnest” a romantic comedy fizzes with Oscar Wilde’s notorious wit and even features a fight scene with English muffins.
Victorian period costumes and elaborate, hand-painted scenery will enhance the performances of local actors Sean Ports, Benjamin Knapp, Kaitlin Haley, Samantha Butts, Nina Mardauss, Michael Lee, George Tuft, and Timothy Boles as Lady Bracknell.
The show opens Friday, with additional performances at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 and 25, and Oct. 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9, at the theater at 306 W. First St.
Patrons must show proof of vaccination against COVID-19, and statewide masking mandates will be followed. Those who are unable to be vaccinated can call the box office to discuss options. Tickets are available at www.dixonstageleft.org as well as and at the new box office location, 93 S. Hennepin Ave.
