Oregon Women’s Club will hold mindfulness seminar

OREGON — The Oregon Woman’s Club will host a seminar on mindfulness at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 30, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rock River Center. The leader will be University of Illinois educator Karla Belzer. The seminar is free and open to all the women in the Oregon area.

Mindfulness is the act of paying purposeful attention to the present moment as an effective tool for managing stress. The program is a research-based and theory-driven program that meets National Health Education standards.

The Rock River Center will host a 5-session follow-up program running from the last week in September to the first week in November. Admission to both the introductory session and the follow-up meetings is free, but registration for both is required.
