FULTON – The topic will be “sweet” at the Feb. 12 Wild Winter Wednesday program offered by the Windmill Volunteer Educators at the Windmill Cultural Center.

Chef Stephanie Godtke will talk about Valentine’s Day treats.

“Steph is a crowd favorite who entertains with her wit, humor and family farm stories,” said Pam VanZuiden, a member of the Windmill Volunteer Educators. “She is a renowned chef and cooking instructor in the QC area and is employed at the Mississippi Distilling Co. in LeClaire, Iowa. She is also a recurring guest on the WQAD-TV 11 o’clock news.”

The doors open at 8:30 a.m. for coffee, hot cider and mill treats, with the free program beginning about 9:20 a.m.

The program is funded through a grant from the D.S. Flikkema Foundation and a donation from Nelson Corp. The programs are free and open to the public.

If River Bend schools are closed or delayed because of weather, the program will be canceled.
