IVCC to host Fall Ag Open House Oct. 15

Illinois Valley Community College will host its Fall Ag Open House for all prospective students and parents from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, in the Dr. Mary Margaret Weeg Cultural Centre and via Zoom.

Guests will interact with current IVCC students and faculty, learn about the program and tour campus. Enrollment, financial aid and scholarship information will be provided.

Guests will also meet representatives from ag programs at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois State University, Southern Illinois University and Western Illinois University.

“Our program continues to grow with new leadership, equipment, buildings and certificate options,” said instructor and program co-coordinator Willard Mott.

Caitlinn Hubbell, program co-coordinator, added, “This event is a great chance to discover what ag opportunities IVCC and Illinois universities have to offer.”

Students are asked to preregister online by Oct. 11 at www.ivcc.edu/agriculture.

IVCC is following all state and local guidelines with regard to the pandemic. Mask usage and other mitigations are expected of all participants.
