Blood drive set for April 16 in Granville

GRANVILLE — PCHS Interact Club will host a Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 16, at the Granville American Legion, 209 N. McCoy. The event is co-sponsored by Putnam County Rotary.

Donors are encouraged to make an appointment online at www.redcross.org or by calling 800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767). Due to COVID precautions, the drive is not able to welcome walk-in donors. Donors must also bring a mask and photo ID. Students age 16 must also present a parent’s consent form, available in the school’s front office.

The Red Cross is experiencing life-threatening shortages, and encourages all past donors, and new donors, to “roll up our sleeves” to save lives. An added incentive for this drive is that the Red Cross will donate money for senior scholarships based on the total number of units collected at school-sponsored drives throughout the current year.
