HENRY — Four Henry-Senachwine High School students have been named Illinois State Scholars.
Erin Hufnagel is the daughter of Greg and Tara Hufnagel of Henry, Cassandra Lowande is the daughter of Brian and Tina Lowande of Putnam, Ronit Lunken is the daughter of Yona and Dina Lunken of Putnam, and Brady Neuhalfen is the son of Roger Neuhalfen and Patti Griffin of Henry.
The State Scholar Program through the Illinois Student Assistance Commission recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement. State scholar designation provides honorary recognition to approximately the top 10% of graduates. There is no application to complete for the State Scholar Program; standardized test scores and performance-based academic data reported by the students’ high school are key factors in the formula used to determine student eligibility.
