Graduating Oregon High School seniors Andrea Chavez-Jimenez and Daniel Gonzalez have each been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the Oregon Woman’s Club.

The awards were announced May 13 at a ceremony held at the River’s Edge Experience in Oregon. Selection is based on academic performance, community service record and a written essay.

Gonzalez plans to pursue a career in kinesiology and physical therapy. Chavez-Jimenez intends to study public and community service and infrastructure.
