The weather was perfect for the 72nd Grand Detour Arts Festival

GRAND DETOUR — From gourd art to stoneware pottery, visitors to the 72nd Grand Detour Arts Festival had plenty to peruse on Sunday.

Forty-six artists set up their booths on the grounds of the John Deere Historic Site selling and showing their creations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. under sunny skies and warm temperatures.

The juried show gave out 9 awards which were not available on Monday.

The event included live music by 5 bands, food from 6 vendors, and live blacksmith demonstrations.

Next year’s show is scheduled for Sept. 11, 2022.
