Forreston FFA members attended Farm Progress Show

Fourteen Forreston FFA members traveled to Decatur on Sept. 1 for the 2021 Farm Progress Show.

Members met with colleges, researched various careers, learned about new technology and data collection that is changing the face of agriculture.

Two FFA members commented on the trip.

“Visiting the Farm Progress Show was not only very amusing but also informative. Throughout my short time there, I learned plenty of interesting concepts and details ranging from the innovation in technology inside and outside the cab of a tractor to the prestigious history of brands such as John Deere, Case, Fendt, and so on. Overall, the experience was as entertaining as it was educational,” said Ryan Morris, a senior at Forreston High School.

“I learned about Case IH new ag tech that shows you what each tractor is doing how long it takes for each job,” said Heath Schubert, a freshman.

Members attending were: Katee Bismark, Justin Myers, Bryce Miller, Kaden Lingbeck, Heath Schubert, Dausyn Heslop, Logan Miller, Cole DeWall, Andy Baumann, Dylan Lewis, Dylan Greenfeild, Alex Williams, Ryan Morris, and Daemyn Heslop.
