MCC Delivers Career Ready Resources to Community

Looking to start a new career or increase your earning potential with some professional training? No matter what your current position, industry, or experience level, McHenry County College (MCC) can be a great resource to help you reach your career potential and achieve your goals.

“We believe preparation is the key to success,” said Mike Kennedy, director of college and career readiness at MCC. “That’s why we’re always finding new ways to partner with local middle and high schools, invest in career resources for the community, and regularly reevaluate and update our offerings for students at every age.”

Among the career-ready resources offered by the College are:

  • Meet MCC: Career Ready. Starting December 7, this week of webinars will help you take your career to the next level! Experts from MCC will discuss Fast Track programs for working adults, stackable certificates to get you into the workforce quickly, and non-credit certificates, training, and seminars.
  • Dual Credit. Still in high school? You can get a jump start on your career by earning college credit in some of the classes taught right at your current school! You’ll save money, enjoy more challenging courses, and prepare for college.
  • Career Coach. Not sure which career is right for you? Career Coach is an interactive and free tool to help you identify career and education options based on your interests.
  • Career Counseling. Want personalized help? Meet with one of our career experts to discuss goals, internship and job search strategies, resume and cover letter development, and practice interviews.
