Letter: Glad to see the return of our flag

To the Editor:

Did we all miss our beautiful American flag on our drive down Randall/Rakow Road?

After repairs to the cell tower antenna, the city crews restored our flag to all its glory.

We citizens would appreciate it if the newspaper would publish the cause of lowering the flag to half-staff position (editor’s note: the most recent designation was in honor of Illinois State Trooper Todd Hanneken, who was killed in the line of duty).

Again, thanks to the city for providing all of us the beautiful Old Glory.
