Lake in the Hills to reopen Village Hall, airport office to public starting Thursday

Moves are result of McHenry County moving to less restrictive Tier 2 mitigations

The village of Lake in the Hills will reopen its Village Hall, public works facility and airport office to the public starting Thursday, along with other changes brought on by McHenry County’s move to less restrictive Tier 2 mitigations.

The facilities will be open their standard operating hours and masks will be required, according to a news release. Social distancing also will be encouraged.

The village also is on track to resume organized group recreational activities, according to the release. Gatherings will be limited to 25 people or 25% of overall room capacity, both for indoor and outdoor spaces.

The village of Lake in the Hills continues to encourage residents and businesses to complete as much as they can online through the village’s website, including making payments or applying for permits.
