A rollover crash Monday sent two people to the hospital with injures that are not life-threatening after officials said a Wisconsin man lost control of a stolen vehicle while fleeing from police at more than 100 mph.

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Parrish I. Watts, the 18-year-old Wisconsin man accused of crashing the vehicle on Monday.

The situation began when a Hebron police officer located a grey 2020 Honda Civic that was reported stolen out of Racine, Wisconsin, McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy Tim Creighton said.

When the officer activated the lights on his marked vehicle, Watts continued to drive east on Route 173 from Route 47 in Hebron, Creighton said. Court documents allege the car reached 100 mph before it left the roadway in the 8000 block of Route 173 in Richmond. The vehicle then overturned several times, ejecting both Watts and a 15-year-old passenger, Creighton said.

Watts was taken to Northwestern McHenry Medical Center and the 15-year-old was flown to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Creighton said. The teenage passenger fractured several vertebrae, ribs and part of her arm, court records show.

A two-count criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court charged Watts with aggravated fleeing and aggravated reckless driving. Both offenses are felonies typically punishable by as many as three years in prison.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash, Creighton said.
