Two McHenry County Sheriff’s Office sergeants graduate from School of Police Staff and Command

Sgt. Michelle Asplund, Sgt. Aimee Knop successfully completed the Northwestern University 10-week program

Two McHenry County Sheriff’s Office sergeants recently graduated from Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, the agency said in a news release.

Sgt. Michelle Asplund successfully completed the 10-week program hosted by the Buffalo Grove Police Department in November and Sgt. Aimee Knop completed her program, hosted by the DeKalb Police Department, in February, according to the release.

The program, which was implemented by the Center for Public Safety in 1983, has graduated more than 25,000 students both nationally and internationally, according to the release. Topics covered include leadership, human resources, employee relations, organizational behavior, applied statistics, planning and policy development, budgeting and resource allocation.
