Harvard’s Logan Garafol shot a 2-over-par 37 to lead the Hornets past Marengo, 164-215, in their Kishwaukee River Conference boys golf dual meet Friday at Beaver Creek in Capron.
Myles Brincks shot a 41, Caden Scott added a 45 and Andrew Dudley and Connor Pedersen each had 51s for Harvard.
Dylan Erbtoesser led the Indians with a 50. Riley Weiss (53), Lucan Frohling (55) and Leo Banks (57) rounded out Marengo’s scoring.
Richmond-Burton wins two: At Valley Ridge in Antioch, Ryan Eskuri shot a 3-over 38 to lead R-B (170) past Grant (174) and Zion-Benton (188) in their nonconference meet, scored as a double dual.
Jeff Lehn and Colten Miller shot 43s for the Rockets (3-1), while Kenny Busch added a 46.
Eskuri took medalist honors by one stroke.
GIRLS GOLF
Johnsburg 223, Grant 224: At Fox Lake Country Club, a birdie on No. 9 by Amber Smith helped lead the Skyhawks (1-1) to the one-shot victory over the Bulldogs in nonconference action.
Smith and Riley Klotz posted 51s to earn co-medalist honors for Johnsburg. Mackenzie McQuiston (60) and Lana Bowers (61) rounded out the scoring.
