Richmond-Burton is headed to the Class 2A Sweet Sixteen after a 15-9 win over Stillman Valley on Wednesday in Richmond.
Aidan Herrick led the charge with a 3 for 3 day at the plate. He doubled and drove in four runs in the victory, while Griff Taylor was 3 for 5 with two doubles and an RBI.
Pitcher Connor Wallace earned the win as the Rockets improved to 25-5 overall and advanced to a Class 2A sectional title game, where they will play Winnebago at home on Friday.

Conant 9, Crystal Lake Central co-ops 6: At Hoffman Estates, the Tigers had their season come to a close in the sectional semifinals with a loss to Conant.

McHenry 57, Burlington Central 15: At Burlington, the Warriors improved to 15-7 overall and 5-3 in the Fox Valley Conference with a comfortable win over the Rockets.
Jimmy Norris, Lucas Van Diepen, Dylan Drumheller, Ruben Melgarejo, Nick Garantziotis, Luke Zunkel and Luis Anacleto each notched victories for McHenry.
