Flashing red traffic lights at the intersection of Del Webb Boulevard and Route 47 in Huntley caused a significant backup Thursday afternoon.
Huntley Police Deputy Chief Kevin Keane said at 4:55 p.m. Thursday an Illinois Department of Transportation electrical vendor had fixed the issue. Keane said he did not have a cause of the issue.
An alert sent just after 5 p.m. Thursday said the traffic lights were back to normal operations.
Huntley Police first put out an alert about the lights just after 3:45 p.m. Thursday and encouraged people to find alternate routes.
