Putnam County Methodist Churches to host blood drive on Oct. 17

Drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m.

Taryn Kraemer, of Wonder Lake, left, and her mother, Nanette Colwell, of McHenry, center, prepare to have a donation of blood drawn by phelotomist Stephen Buhrt, right, during a Versiti blood drive on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richmond. A shortage in the blood supply has again resurged and blood drives are hopeful for donors.

The Putnam County Methodist Churches will host a Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17 at the McNabb Fire Department on Illinois Route 89.

The drive, held in Goldasich Hall, welcomes first time as well as veteran donors to participate.

For appointments, call 1-800-733-2767. Donors may also schedule appointments and pre register using the Red Cross Rapid Pass at redcross.org.
