Certification is required to apply restricted use pesticides

Bureau, La Salle, Marshall, Putnam Unit is offering the following testing-only sessions and certification program for private pesticide applicators.

Certification is required to apply restricted use pesticides. The sessions are in cooperation with the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins will be allowed.

Properly worn face coverings are required at all times within the testing locations. Those unable or unwilling to abide by the mask restrictions are directed to the IDOA online examination system at https://www2.illinois.gov/sites/agr/Pesticides.

There is no charge for the testing. If you need a reasonable accommodation, indicate when registering.

Testing Only for Private Pesticide Applicators: Marshall-Putnam counties, noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the University of Illinois Extension Marshall-Putnam Office, 509 Front St., Suite 4. Henry.

Pre-registration is required one day in advance by calling 309-364-2356. Space will be limited because of state COVID regulations. No walk-ins will be allowed.

All testing, commercial and private, for applicators: Bureau County. 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 10, at the University of Illinois Extension Bureau County Office, 850 Thompson St., Princeton. Pre-registration is required one day in advance online at https://www2.illinois.gov/sites/agr/Pesticides/Pages/in-person-testing.aspx, or by calling 815-875-2878. Space will be limited because of COVID regulations. No walk-ins will be allowed.

Testing only for private pesticide applicators: La Salle County/Illinois Valley Community College. 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 11, at IVCC, Room CTC 124/125, 815 N. Orlando Smith Road, Oglesby. Pre-registration is required one day in advance by calling at 815-224-0889. Space will be limited because of COVID regulations. No walk-ins will be allowed.

Testing only for private pesticide applicators: La Salle County/Ottawa.

9 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 25, at the University of Illinois Extension La Salle County Office, 1689 N. 31st Road, Ottawa. Pre-Registration is required one day in advance by calling at 815-433-0707. Space will be limited because of COVID regulations. No walk-ins will be allowed.
