COVID-19 cases on the rise in Bureau, Putnam, Marshall counties

COVID-19 cases increased in Bureau, Putnam and Marshall counties in the past seven days.

A week ago, the Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Department reported 222 new cases among the three counties, Monday the agency said there were 332 new cases confirmed.

There are 213 cases in Bureau County (up 87); 38 cases in Putnam County (up 10) and 81 cases in Marshall County (up 13).

There were 10 hospitalizations from COVID-19 among Bureau County residents, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Vaccination clinics continue in the three counties. Go to https://www.bpmhd.org/ to register.

Clinics are scheduled Thursday, Dec. 16; and Monday, Dec. 20, at the Bureau County Health Department, 526 Bureau Valley Parkway, Princeton. A ages 5 to 11 first dose only Pfizer clinic is scheduled Wednesday, Dec. 8.

Clinics are scheduled Thursday, Dec. 16; and Wednesday, Dec. 22; at the Putnam County Health Department, 220 E. High St., Hennepin.

Additionally, clinics are scheduled Thursday, Dec. 16; Tuesday, Dec. 21; Wednesday, Dec. 22; and Tuesday, Dec. 28, in Marshall County at the Lacon Area Community Center, 405 N. Washington St.

There are 16,992 Bureau County residents fully-vaccinated for COVID-19, which is 51.5% of the county’s population; there are 5,945 Marshall County residents fully-vaccinated, which is 51.54% of the county’s population; and 2,947 Putnam County residents fully-vaccinated, which is 51.34% of the county’s population.
