Tonica woman taken to hospital with minor injuries following 2-vehicle crash south of Leonore

A 35-year-old Tonica woman was taken to St. Margaret’s hospital in Peru with minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash Monday morning at the intersection of East 950th Road and North 17th Road, just south of Leonore.

According to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, Elizabeth M. Soberri, 35, of Tonica, was stopped at the stop sign at 9:24 a.m. Monday when she pulled onto East 950th Road, striking the right front of a vehicle driven by Eric C. Sass, 47, of Cornell.

Sass reported no injuries and Soberri was taken by Tonica ambulance to St. Margaret’s of Peru, deputies said.

Soberri also was cited on a complaint of failure to yield at an intersection.
