Firefighter walk-through, procession planned for Lacon-Sparland firefighter

A firefighter walk through for Chaise Mangold will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at the Lacon fire station, 921 Fifth St.

Lacon-Sparland firefighter Chaise Mangold died from injuries sustained April 10 in a fire at a family property in Sparland, said the Lacon-Sparland Fire District.

Parking and staging will be 6:30 p.m. at the old Kenyon’s restaurant location, 1217 Fifth St. with line up at 6:45 p.m.

Private funeral services are set 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, with a truck procession to the cemetery and department ceremony. Line up Wednesday is at 10:30 a.m. on Fifth Street with overflow in the former Kenyon’s parking lot.

Chaise was a member of the fire department for 3 1/2 years.
