Mendota police seek motorist responsible for striking mailboxes

Police believe offending vehicle was a 1999-2005 Pontiac Grand Am with passenger-side damage

Mendota police are looking for help in identifying a culprit after a bank of mailboxes in the 200 block of East Sixth Street were reported struck by a vehicle at about 7 a.m. Friday.

Among the debris left behind by the offending vehicle, Mendota police were able to determine the offending vehicle to be a 1999-2005 Pontiac Grand Am with extensive passenger side damage, police said. At this time the color of the offending vehicle is not being released.
