Emme Bottom, of Mendota, has been elected president of the Illinois Valley Community College Student Government Association following recent sophomore elections. Vice president is Eva Smush, of Joliet.

Madison Miranda, of DePue, was elected student trustee, Helena Ogle, of Streator, treasurer, and Nicolette Kendall, of Streator, secretary.

Emily Walker, of Ottawa, won election to the sophomore programming board.

“Although the voter turn-out was relatively low, this electronic process worked very smoothly this year,” said Student Activities Coordinator Cory Tomasson.

“I know many of the individuals that have been elected, and I think that they will do a great job of representing and engaging our student population over the next year,” he added.
