La Salle Library virtually hosts artist Laura Mueller on Jan. 25

Program titled ‘Depicting the Divine’

La Salle Public Library will virtually host artist-art historian Laura Mueller at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, for a program titled, “Depicting the Divine.”

Mueller, from the Art Institute of Chicago, will explore and compare depictions of divinity from Eastern and Western traditions, both the ancient and the new.

Mueller worked for the Art Institute’s Department of Museum Education from 1987 to 2017 and has taught courses in literature and art history at local colleges. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a master’s of arts from the University of Chicago in Comparative Literature. She has also studied art with New York University in Venice, Italy.
