Matthew Harris recorded a fall in 1:05 to help the Princeton wrestling team to a 46-36 victory over Kewanee on Friday in Kewanee.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Kewanee 63, Hall 58: Ethan Plym, Payton Dye and Drake Garland each scored 14 points as the Red Devils came up short in a Three Rivers Conference East Division game Friday in Spring Valley.

Mac Resetich added 12 points and seven rebounds for Hall, which led 46-42 after three quarters before being outscored 21-12 in the fourth.

Hinckley-Big Rock 61, Earlville 50: The Red Raiders dropped a Little Ten Conference game Friday in Earlville.

El Paso-Gridley 61, Fieldcrest 28: The Knights fell in a Heart of Illinois Conference game Friday in El Paso.

Serena 87, LaMoille 29: The Lions lost a Little Ten Conference game Friday in Serena.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Fieldcrest 50, El Paso-Gridley 26: Haley Carver drained four 3-pointers and scored 18 points as the Knights earned their 20th victory of the season with a 50-26 win over El Paso-Gridley in a Heart of Illinois Conference game in El Paso.

Ashlyn May had 14 points, six steals and six assists for the Knights (20-1, 8-1 HOIC), while Ella Goodrich added nine points and eight rebounds.

Hall 40, Bureau Valley 29: McKenna Christiansen scored 20 points to lead the Red Devils to a Three Rivers Conference East Division victory in Spring Valley.

Promise Giacometti scored 12 points for Hall, while Toni Newton added eight points.

Earlville 53, Hiawatha 12: Elizabeth Browder scored 22 points, dished out five assists and grabbed four rebounds to help the Red Raiders to a Little Ten Conference victory in Kirkland.

Madyson Olson had 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals for Earlville (10-5, 3-1 LTC), while Brooklyn Guelde contributed 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Newark 64, Mendota 23: Reanna Brant, Natalie Bodmer, and Naitzy Garcia each scored six points as the Trojans lost a nonconference game Thursday in Newark.

WRESTLING

At Princeton: Princeton earned a pair of dual victories, beating Orion, 44-30, and routing IVC, 62-0.

Carlos Benavidez and Augie Christiansen each recorded a pair of pins, while Matthew Harris won by pin and technical fall.

At Port Byron: St. Bede lost a pair of duals, 54-23 to Riverdale and 66-6 to Newman.

Henry Orteza and Garrett Connelly won by fall against Riverdale, while Ryan Migliorini bumped up from 195 pounds to 220 against Newman and won by fall in the second period.

At Erie: Mendota lost a pair of Three Rivers Conference duals, 48-12 to Monmouth-Roseville and 66-12 to Erie-Prophetstown.

Jose Hermosillo won by fall against M-R, while J.P. Belmonte earned a pin against E-P.

South Beloit 48, Earlville 28: Griffin Cook scored 15 points as the Red Raiders (5-11) lost a nonconference game in Earlville.
