L-P soccer picks up win over DePue-Hall

The Fieldcrest football team scored first, but it was the host LeRoy that scored most in a 34-18 victory in a Heart of Illinois Conference crossover Friday night in LeRoy.

Fieldcrest opened the night’s scoring with a 7-yard touchdown pass from Koltin Kearfott to Landon Modro, and the Knights trailed only 20-18 at halftime before being outscored 14-0 in the second half to fall to 0-5 on the campaign.

Kearfott finished 14-of-30 for 272 yards passing with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

His top receivers included Modro (five receptions for 74 yards), Logan Halley (four catches, 116 yards) and Jozia Johnson (three receptions, 54 yards). The Knights were held to minus-26 yards rushing by LeRoy (2-3).
