La Salle-Peru High School named a Jostens Renaissance School of Distinction

Award announced during the annual Renaissance Conference this summer

La Salle-Peru High School announced Monday it was recognized as a Jostens Renaissance School of Distinction during the annual Jostens Renaissance Conference this summer.

The Jostens designation was created to celebrate those schools that, in collaboration with the Renaissance community, are making a positive impact on school climate and culture through executing the principles of respect, recognition, rewards, reinforcement and relationships.

By improving school climate and culture, the Renaissance program contributes to increase attendance and graduation rates, improve academic performance and behavior, maintain higher teacher retention rates and boost school spirit.

The current LPHS Renaissance team includes Emma Woulfe, Brianna Woulfe, Aidan Harmon, Hope Eldridge and Shea Rathburn. They are led by Renaissance coordinators Jean Ganze and Andrea Eichelkraut.

Recent graduates Lauren Klein and Lauren Phillips also contributed to the multi-year application process that led to the school of distinction recognition.
