Celebrate La Salle partners with state to offer Johnson & Johnson vaccination clinic

Clinic will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at 143 Marquette St.

Anyone looking for an opportunity to receive a Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine will have the opportunity during the Celebrate La Salle Festival this weekend.

The city of La Salle is partnering with the state of Illinois to offer a vaccine clinic from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at 143 Marquette St. during the annual festivities.

No appointment is necessary to receive a vaccination and the vaccines will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Illinois Department of Public Health has stated the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is authorized and recommended for individuals 18 years or older. This is a one-dose vaccine.

If you’re unable to attend this clinic, you can find clinics near you by visiting coronavirus.illinois.gov or by calling the IDPH hotline at 1-833-621-1284.

Celebrate La Salle begins on Thursday and lasts through Sunday as events include live music, a carnival, 5K race, fireworks and a car show. More information on the vent can be found on facebook.com/celebratelasalle.
