Daniel M. Szwajowski, 32, of Ottawa, was arrested Sunday at Lafayette and Paul streets on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of assault, Ottawa police said. Szwajowski was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Roger Galvan, 37, of Aurora, was arrested Saturday on the 1700 block of Poplar Street on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant on a complaint of domestic battery, Ottawa police said. Galvan was taken to La Salle County Jail.
Steven Meyer, 55, of Ottawa, was arrested Friday on the 1800 block of Seneca Drive on a complaint of reckless discharge of a firearm, Ottawa police said. Meyer was taken to La Salle County Jail.
Michelle L. Nordan, 29, of Ottawa, was cited Friday at White Lane and Tomahawk Drive on a complaint of driving while license suspended, Ottawa police said.
Kellie Deane, 23, of Yorkville, was cited 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Route 71 and East 23rd Road in Rutland Township on complaints of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident to a police authority, following a single-vehicle crash. According to deputies, Deane was traveling north/east on Route 71 when a deer entered onto the roadway. Deane swerved to avoid striking the deer. Her vehicle entered into the south side ditch and struck an embankment. Deane left the scene. Deputies were able to make contact with Deane by phone.
