Woodland School in rural South Streator will have e-learning days Monday, Jan. 10, and Tuesday, Jan. 11, with plans to return to in-person learning Wednesday, Jan. 13.
The school district had 45 students test positive for COVID-19, 228 students determined as close contacts, 13 staff members test positive for the virus and 19 staff members determined as close contacts.
If students tested positive this week and they remain fever free, they may return to school Wednesday, Jan. 13, according to the new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, said Superintendent Ryan McGuckin. Close contacts also may return Wednesday, provided they have no symptoms.
McGuckin said emphasized students who don’t feel well or are having symptoms should stay home.
