Streator man dies after Peoria motorcycle crash

25-year-old was the lone occupant of the motorcycle

A 25-year-old Streator man died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash Saturday in Peoria.

Cody Graham was traveling north on Main Street in Peoria at about 2:25 a.m. Sunday and failed to negotiate the left hand turn onto West Main, the Peoria County Coroner’s Office said. The motorcycle left the roadway and traveled across the sidewalk into the adjacent parking lot.

Graham was in critical condition after he was taken to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, but he died at 10:59 a.m. later Sunday morning.

A toxicology examination is pending per state statute. Graham was the lone occupant of the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet, the coroner’s office said. The investigation is being conducted by Peoria Police Traffic Unit.
