Reddick Library in Ottawa announces events Aug. 2-7

Virtual story time, sidewalk chalk coloring contest, loop group among week’s activities

The following events are planned for Reddick Library, 1010 Canal St., Ottawa, the week of Aug. 2.

10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3: Virtual story time. Ages 6 months-6 years. Laura Numeroff stories, such as “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” will be featured. This event will be available for viewing for one week on the library’s website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page.

11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5: Sidewalk chalk coloring contest, all ages. Outdoor fun (weather permitting). Get your creative juices flowing and help decorate the library’s sidewalks on Washington Street. Children younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7: Loop group. Learn to knit and crochet in a fun environment from knowledgeable people.
