Drive-thru job fair in Ottawa set Aug. 17

Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and BEST, Inc. are hosting a drive-thru job fair 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the south end of the Jordan block in Ottawa.

Participating businesses are asked to make 225 copies of fliers for their open job position and drop them off at the chamber office, 633 La Salle St., Suite 401, no later than Tuesday, Aug. 10.

Job seekers can drive up and receive a packet filled with information on jobs in the area along with other resource information from the safety of their own vehicles.

Additionally, free workshops will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, for job searching; 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4 for job application assistance, and 10 a.m. Thursday Aug. 5, for interview help. These workshops will take place at the Ottawa IVCC Campus, 321 W. Main St. Masks are required.
